Dr Damian Pryce is a Consultant Dermatologist in the NHS and private practice in the South West of England. He has 26 years experience in the specialty of which 20 have been as consultant to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and to Yeovil District Hospital. His private practice has been based at the Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital since 1994.
Dr Pryce trained in dermatology in London, Durham and Liverpool before taking up his consultant post in Somerset. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine. He holds the Diploma in Industrial Health. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the British Society for Medical Dermatology.
He practices general clinical dermatology - the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory skin diseases and skin lesions. Inflammatory skin diseases include; acne, allergic reactions, autoimmune conditions, bacterial infections, blistering conditions, connective tissue diseases, dermatitis, drug reactions, eczema, fungal infections, itching, pigment changes, psoriasis, urticaria ('hives'), viral infections. Skin lesions include the malignant; basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma and the benign; viral wart, seborrhoeic keratosis, haemangioma, naevus ('mole').
He has special interests in medical dermatology and occupational dermatology. These relate to the care of patients whose skin diseases or treatments have significant consequences for their general health and/or livelihood.
